The TeraGeek Community is a community of PC geeks originally created in April 2014 under the name of "La Mesnie".

The main aims of the community

  • Getting together to play in a friendly atmosphere
  • Share knowledge and help each other with computers: Windows, Linux, hardware, web, servers, etc.

Philosophy

  • Freedom, fun and respect!
  • The TeraGeek Community aims to be independent and at the service of all its members.
  • The hierarchy is designed to be as flexible as possible: anyone with an idea can submit it directly to the administration for discussion; anyone who wants to can launch initiatives and projects that will always be supported. Our aim is to give you the best possible community experience, and we're always open to your suggestions.

Charter & Operation

A) Living together

  1. This community is all about sharing, helping each other and having fun.
  2. Respect for the laws of France and for your fellow man is mandatory; pests will not be tolerated.
  3. We support initiative, and we invite you to take it, to propose projects and events, and to contribute your vision and help to the community.

B) Discord

  1. We invite you to connect regularly to Discord to really benefit from the community.
  2. Guests are welcome.
  3. Don't forget to ask for your TeraGeek grade if you've just registered.

C) The Forum

  1. Please take care with your spelling here and in the game. Understandable abbreviations are tolerated.
  2. Please use the most appropriate category before posting and choose an explicit title for your subjects.

D) Hierarchy

  1. Transparency and consultation are the watchwords of our administration.
  2. Our aim is to keep our admins accessible and ready to listen.
  3. Major decisions affecting all members are systematically discussed or voted on.
  4. Administrative and management tasks are entrusted to members who have demonstrated a deep commitment over the long term and are therefore trustworthy.
  5. Anyone can launch a server/guild or other initiative. However, if they wish to be officially recognised by TeraGeek, they must first contact the administration. In some cases, the TeraGeek Community can provide you with a server.
  6. The admins/moderators of servers, guilds and other groups in the games are appointed by those who initiated them.
  7. Under no circumstances do these responsibilities confer any particular authority on the members, other than to ensure that this charter is respected and to act as the players' spokesperson.

E) Registration

  1. Registration gives you additional access to the forum, Discord and games - if applicable.

F) Financing

  1. The TeraGeek Community is a not-for-profit organisation.
  2. The costs generated by the community - servers - are paid for by the donations.
