Mesnia is undergoing major changes...
Following a community vote, we have (finally) decided to change our name:
Terageek
La Mesnie has just celebrated its 2nd birthday (yes, already!), and it's time for a major revival!
Dear Mesnians, you're becoming Terageeks! And so our mesnie.org site becomes terageek.org
Your accounts have been successfully transferred!
The site is taking the opportunity to change host and switch to HTTPS with a certificate validated by a competent authority in order to avoid 'man in the middle' attacks. Not that there ever were any, but this is now the norm for any self-respecting website! In other words, your data exchanged with the site (emails, passwords) is now encrypted in a virtually inviolable way. Not to mention the fact that it will now be possible to send serious emails, including newsletters (which you can choose to unsubscribe from).
The game servers will also be migrated, to save money and deliver even better performance! So we'll have two servers just for us, to better separate tasks and further increase security! The migration is scheduled for the end of April at the latest.
TeamSpeak
Don't forget to change your teamspeak bookmark! ts.mesnie.org will soon be obsolete, you'll have to use ts.terageek.org !
(The server will switch back to 512 max slots as soon as possible!)
New name = new logo: get your pencils ready!
The current banner is... what it is!
Do you have any ideas, or better still, can you suggest a logo? Then take a look on the forum! A topic has been created on this subject!

Speaking of the forum...
The forum is likely to be overhauled, bye-bye the PHPBB forum as we know it today. The aim is to simplify and better integrate it into the WordPress site. On the other hand, this may mean that we risk losing our content! This decision has yet to be taken.
Why not set up an association?
Yes, we've been talking about it since the Mesnie was created, but the move to Terageek will give us the opportunity to become an association! Well, there's still a lot of preparation to do, but we're going to do it!
IRL events!
One of our aims is to organise events in real life, like LANs! Before that, there's nothing to stop us getting together at one of the trade fairs taking place in France, but we'll get back to that later.
Gifts!
Competitions, prize draws, giving away computer equipment, wouldn't that be nice? Well, as we're starting to get some visibility on the web, and we'll get even more if we're a non-profit organisation, and we might even get some grants, it's definitely possible!
A certain reorientation...
To become a non-profit organisation, we need to do more than just get you to play. We need to go further, which brings us to...
Open for business!
Geekery, geekery, geekery!
Terageek marks the opening up to computing and all the geekery that goes with it. It won't just be a group of nice people playing games together, but also a place where budding geeks can get help, whether it's setting up a PC, creating a server, programming... On the other hand, as far as gaming is concerned, we still haven't included the heretics who are console gamers, so don't kid yourself.
Europe, here we come!
On top of that, we're going international! Some content will be written in English, but European game servers will also be created! Expect to see English-speaking modos in the near future!
