Console activation in Valve games

Hello everyone, today we're going to look at how to activate the console in Valve games or directly in a game such as Garry's Mod.

The console allows you to enter a number of useful commands, such as :

Main orders

kill: Kill yourself (useful for changing skin or if you're stuck with Godmode activated)

retry: reconnect to the server (after a server crash, for example)

net_graph 1 (Values 1 to 3 give you information about your framerate, the connection, and the state of the server, 0 clears the graph)

bind x " action " (with x the key of your choice, and " action " the command to be entered between inverted commas)

Examples of blinds

bind p toggleconsole => show / hide the console

bind k kill => Kills you when you press k

bind n "net_graph 1" and bind b "net_graph 0" => Enable/Disable net_graph with n and b.

For gmod: bind f " ulx noclip " => activate the noclip -voler- with the ulx plugin if you have authorisation.

For gmod: bind t "ulx menu" => displays the ulx menu

To do this, simply right-click on your game (Counter strike, garry's mod, half life, etc.),
to go to properties and define launch options

Properties tutorial

In the launch options, type -console in the bar and then OK(Several properties of the game can
be modified in this way, I leave it to you to find out)
